Cable needle
A twist is a crossing of stitches that is made by reversing the position of the stitches on the needle. The cable needle looks like double pointed needles but is "twisted" to prevent the stitches from wandering where they want and to allow them to stay in place on the needle.
They are generally much shorter (2.5 mm and 4 mm) than double-pointed needles, which makes them easier to handle.
